NetWare CIFS access from Vista beta
Has anyone just installed the basic MS client for Netware? I bave some old 5.x and 6.x Novell servers that I would like Vista to connect to. NetWare 4.11 Vista Ultimate
I do that at work - 31 systems licensed for Vista, all of them running XP. Of course, I have Vista and XP both on both of my home systems. Doing fine with Vista, except for a lack of support from Novell (can't connect Vista to the Netware network.) A minor oversight, I'm sure, since MS doesn't own Novell ... yet.

Why Vista is great - and people need to stop looking for things...

I have administered Novell/Netware networks for 19 years and currently have six Novell servers in place. They are all running Open Enterprise Server/Netware 6.5; none are running OES/SuSe server, so if you are running SuSe rather than Netware, that may explain your problems with the Vista client.
